SAFETY AND INSURANCE
Koh Samui Watersports by James Jetstar
STAYING SAFE
We all want our fun in the sun but staying safe around the water is a priority for our staff. We ask all visitors to the beaches to obey the flags. It is surprising how many people think that it is ok to go into the ocean when the red flag is flying. The ocean is a temperamental force of nature and the currents can be deceiving. Even strong swimmers have found themselves in trouble in the ocean. The inflatable beds brought at the local shops are not suitable on the ocean. The inflatables are too light and the water far too strong. Avoid swimming or playing in the water near the watersports. Koh Samui is a beautiful island and we wish our guests to enjoy the beaches. We also ask our guests to recycle their rubbish and keep the island the tropical paradise it is. Koh Samui Watersports reserve the rights to cancel the watersports or Island tours at short notice.
We will only cancel at short notice if it is beyond our capabilities or the weather is adverse.
LIFEGUARDS
The crews at Koh Samui Watersports are trained lifeguards. The lifeguards are only on duty when the watersports are open between 10:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs.
The watersports team have gained their lifesaving qualifications with the appropriate authorities. The staff update their life-saving skills on a regular basis. We pride ourselves on our impeccable safety record.
